Gudraab
Gudraab meaning Gud – jaggery and raab – gruel (jaggery gruel)
It is an age old potion which has been especially recommended for Children.

Ingredients
✓ Desi cow ghee – 5 gms / 1 tsp
✓ Whole wheat flour – 5 gms / 1 tsp
✓ Jaggery – 30-40 gms / 2 – 2.5 tbsp (as per the sweetness required)
✓ Water – 250 ml / 1 cup
✓ Dry ginger powder – a pinch
✓ Black pepper powder – a pinch
✓ Seeds from one Cardamom pod ~ crushed or cardamom powder – 1/8th tsp
Preparation Time – 10 mins
Preparation Method
In a small bowl boil water, add the jaggery to it. Once it melts let it boil for a minute or two. Strain and keep aside.
In a small pan, heat ghee. Once hot, add the flour. Saute the flour on low flame, till it turns brown (be careful not to burn the flour). Turn off the heat and add the hot jaggery water. Stir and mix well till no lumps remain.
Heat again on low flame and add the cardamom powder, dry ginger powder and black pepper powder. Mix well and bring it to a boil. Turn off the heat and serve warm.
