Indications: Tuberculosis, cough with expectoration, bronchial asthma.
Solanum xanthocarpum is chiefly employed in the treatment of respiratory ailments. Its efficacy in bronchial asthma could be due to reducing histamine levels in the bronchial and lung tissues and also anti-allergic and expectorant activities.
Dosage: 2 – 4 gm twice a day after food with honey or warm water.
