Orithazhthamarai	Ionidium suffruticosum	W.P.	50 mg
Poonaikkali	Mucuna pruriens	Sd.	50 mg
Vallarai	Centella asiatica	W.P.	50 mg
Neermulli	Asteracantha longifolia	Sd.	50 mg
Mookkirattai	Boerhaavia diffusa	W.P.	50 mg

 

Indications: Nervous debility.

 

Aegle marmelos is a well known drug for its pitha reducing properties for centuries. It is highly helpful in neurodegenerative diseases by inhibiting acetylcholinestrase an enzyme that hydrolyses acetylcholine – a neurotransmitter. It also serves as an antioxidant. Withania somnifera is well known for its anti-stress, adaptogenic activity also slightly inhibits acetylcholinestrase. . It also serves as a rejuvenator.    Mucuna pruriens is ideal drug recommended in Nadukkuvatham (Parkinson’s disease). It is now proven to have LDOPA as its active ingredient that helps in neurotransmission. Centella asiatica is a blood purifier and a central nervous system relaxant.

 

The ingredients in Mahavilvam prevent nervous debility and enhances general well-being. It can very well be administered along with conventional drugs for Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease for better results.

 

Dosage:  1 or 2 capsules / tablets twice daily before food.
