Indications: Pitta diseases, dysuria, strangury, dyspepsia, loss of appetite, skin diseases and ulcerations, chronic rheumatism, leucorrhoea.
Hemidesmus indicus is an alterative, tonic and a blood purifier. The aroma and taste of the drug is due to the presence of coumarin – a volatile oil, a crystallizable principle hemidesmine, etc. It shows anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, antioxidant, anti-arthritic and many other activities.
Dosage: 1 – 2 gm twice a day after food with hot water.
