The heart wood of Pterocarpus santalinus is used for various therapeutic activities. It shows antihyperglycaemic, antipyretic, anthelmintic, tonic activities. Its major active components include anthocyanins, saponins, tannins, triterpenoids, etc.
Dosage: 1 – 2 gm twice a day after food with honey.
