Indications: Relieves body heat, induces blood circulation, Kushta (skin diseases), Daha (excessive thirst), Mukhasphota (ulcer in the mouth), Raktapitta (bleeding disorder), Raktavihara (disorder of the blood).
Rosa damascena flower is used traditionally to correct altered vata and pitta, reduces burning sensation, treats skin diseases, cardiac ailments, general weakness, etc. It major active constituents include tannins, oligomeric proantrocyanides, etc. It shows gastrointestinal relaxant activity and antitussive properties.
Dosage: 2 – 4 gm twice a day after food with warm water.
