Ingredients:
Haritaki | Terminalia chebula | P. | 1 Part |
Bibhitaki | Terminalia belerica | P. | 1 Part |
Amalaki | Emblica officinalis | P. | 1 Part |
Dosage: 3 to 6 gm.
Anupana : Ghee, honey, warm water.
Indications: Anaha (Distension of abdomen due to obstruction to passage of urine and stools), Prameha (Urinary disorders), Netraroga (Eye disorder), Kaphapittaroga (Disease due to Kapha dosa and Pitta dosa), Kushtha (Diseases of skin), Mandagni (Impaired digestive fire), Aruci (Tastelessness), Vishamajvara (Intermittent fever).
The three astringents in equal proportion help as a digestive aid and improve liver functions. It also acts as an adaptogen, alterative and a tonic. Its anti-inflammatory properties help in healing oral ulcers. It can be taken daily as a supplement not only to cure ulcers or to relieve constipation and for a healthy life. It can be given as an adjunct with other medicines too.
Triphala churna can be boiled with water and the decoction can be used as gargle twice daily to treat oral ulcers and also to wash external genitalia.
