The main constituents of Zingiber officinale includes sesquiterpenoids, zingeberene, etc. It is a stimulant of the gastrointestinal tract, increasing appetite, it also shows anti-emetic, antihyperlipidemic activities.

Dosage:  1 – 2 gm twice or thrice a day after food with warm water or honey.
