The stem bark of Saraca indica is used in various uterine affections, especially in menorrhagia due to uterine fibroids. It is a strong astringent and uterine sedative and stimulates the endometrium and ovarian tissue. It shows oxytocic, hemostatic, and analgesic activities.
Dosage: 1 – 3 gm in decoction form twice a day before food.
